Melody Lim started Mala in Vancouver in 2019 after a trip through Europe and a candlemaker in Milos. The candles are hand-poured in the city from coconut and soy wax with wood or cotton wicks, packaged without plastic, and a tree is planted for every full-size candle sold.

Classic and woodsy
This is a very nice classic woodsy candle for any time of year. For those who have trouble with the wood wicks, they offer a cotton wick option (I love the crackling sound of the wood, but I am happy using either)

Generally great, but.
Really like the cabin fever scent. However, I'm a bit confused by the sizing of the candles (by fluid volume) that I can't seem to find on this site. some candles are 6.8oz, some are 7.6oz and some are 8oz, and these all seem be be categorized as "classic". I feel a bit misled but maybe i'm just missing the clarity around this. I have this scent in both 6.8oz and the first one I received was 8oz (both considered "classic" i believe). can't help but feel like i've been a bit misled.
