Balsam fir is a fir native to North America, of the family Pinaceae. Balsam fir shoots are picked in spring while they are tender, then dried for later use.

How do you use balsam fir?

As an infusion, alone or blended with other boreal plants, for an aromatic tea that carries the forest with it. Balsam fir is also used in essential oils or decoctions to scent and freshen the air. In skincare its essential oil is valued for calming, purifying properties, suited to skin and hair.
