In the mountains of southwestern Antioquia, where steep slopes, river-cut canyons, and fertile soils define the landscape, coffee has long been a way of life. The Salgar Coffee Growers Cooperative (Cocafisa) was founded in 1965 by thirty-four producers working together to stabilize prices and protect their livelihoods. Today, the cooperative represents nearly 3,000 smallholder farmers across this historic growing region.
Guided by shared values of honesty, transparency, solidarity, responsibility, trust, empowerment, and commitment, Cocafisa focuses on long-term economic stability for its members. That work is supported by an exceptional growing environment, well suited to producing consistently high-quality coffees.
